But this time it isn't a short and sweet 2-week missionary trip to the hilltribe regions of Northern Thailand.
It's a long and laborious 3-week overseas training trip to some unfamiliar (to me) military camp called Sawadee Camp. Yeah right, you really think i'd reveal the real name of the camp here? Maybe there really exists a Sawadee Camp but i doubt it would be a military one.
And i doubt i'd be excused from labour on Labour Day during the overseas training. Happy (early) May Day to my loved ones back in Singapore!
Oh ya i'd be spending Mothers' Day away from my mum too. What a miserable trip to Thailand! Anyway have a blessed Mothers' Day, Mummy. Miss having you near me each time i visited Thailand.
Dear loved ones, please keep me in prayer as i spend these 3 weeks in The Land of a Thousand Smiles (probably not as many now due to the chaos).
Don't get the wrong idea; i'm not going there as part of a peacekeeping deployment (i wish!). i'd imagine so though.
i just wanna come back as quickly as possible (unlike my previous missionary trips you realise); i don't wanna be kept there longer than 3 weeks due to the political situation and delay my Passing-Out Parade.
May God's love dwell in the hearts of the Thai people so that all this pandemonium may cease.
Even as i see Thailand in a different light this time, i pray that i won't let things rob me of the joy that i have in the Lord.
